GOING WITH JOE TO 'BIDENLAND' -- Just a Minute Radio for Thursday 10-02-08

            Good’day Mate….

Well, promises easily made are readily broken – Poor Richard undoubtedly said the same thing only with more elegance.

Today the Nation and the Congress are left to pick up the pieces and future generations to pay the debt. Never has so much been owed by so many, so suddenly -- I mean talk about running up credit card debt in a hurry. Here in one fell swoop the earnings of future generations has been obligated to those in lending situations foreign and domestic. But the Lord knows those who are His… and He will settle accounts and that justly.

The important thing to remember is what Jesus said in warning against covetousness: …”for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” (Luke 12:15 KJV) So the outlook after the vote last night is just the same so far as eternity is concerned: “He that bath the Son bath life; and he that bath not the Son of God, bath not life." (I John 5:11-12 KJV)

Now tonight… we have a whole *new* adventure ahead of us as we watch David (the one without reputation or ‘big time’ experience) battle giant-sized (by experience and reputation) Goliath. It should be verrrry in-ter-est-ing. *See you tomorrow.*

            Cordially, IN HIM

            Jack

“JUST A MINUTE”

GOING WITH JOE TO ‘BIDENLAND’

Just A Minute – Here’s a wire story posted yesterday at 5:33 PM by AP writer Cal Woodward, it tells of Joe Biden’s snowy Afghan adventure.

Woodward writes Joe repeatedly impresses voters with his knowledge of Afghan extremists, intimating his helicopter was “forced down” on an Afghan (quote) “superhighway of terror” – but “repeatedly [leaves] out.” it was snow and not the enemy that convinced the pilot to land and wait out the storm. According to Woodward it resembles Hillary Rodham Clinton’s errant tale during the primaries, of landing in Bosnia under sniper fire.

Biden has a bizarre record of open plagiarism. He gave an account of his family mining coal near Scranton, Pennsylvania – only to have it discovered he lifted the account word for word from a speech made by, Neil Kinnock, a Welsh politician. Not a word was true about Biden’s family -- his father was a car dealer not a coal miner.

Just weeks ago Joe said FDR made a fireside chat on TV in 1929 – long before there was any TV.

Gov. Sarah may need a large salt shaker tonight.
