Welcome to the “light booth” ---
Here we’re trying to boost the light output rather than the sound output – and hopefully clarify some things. In the first Presidential Debate of September 29 – there was an exchange between the candidates that seemed to end in a standoff – so we checked into it as much as is available from the Congressional records as well as a magazine considered the “bible” (as in authoritative) of what’s happening in the U.S. Congress… it’s been around a long time. Unless you’re a lobbyist or a newswriter it’s doubtful that you’ve ever come across “Congressional Quarterly.”
First… it’s actually a weekly. (Not a great recommendation on accuracy, huh?) I guess the things that needed to be covered by “CQ” as it is ‘professionally called’ became too great to be a quarterly. It is not a general circulation publication – too expensive – subscriptions start around $1000 yearly and go up. But it’s non-partisan, highly respected and no lobbyist would be without it. Oddly enough it is owned by the St. Petersburg Times and boasts over 150 reporters, writers and editors concentrated on Capitol Hill. In any case the kind of info in today’s program is what you would be likely to get looking up information that was more straight down the middle than what you’d get from news, media or government or Congressional offices.
We make no claims to being industry leaders – but we do try to get through to the truth – with our admittedly Biblical worldview – and hope you can tell we’re trying to be fair.
Let us know if you have any observations about what we’re doing regarding this election.
Cordially, IN HIM
Jack Buttram

McCAIN: "And that's just a fact. Again, you can look it up."
OBAMA: "Look, it's just not true."
FACT CHECK: "McCain Was Right" -- Barack Obama Voted Twice In Favor Of The Democrats' FY 2009 Budget Resolution That Would Raise Taxes On Those Making Just $42,000 A Year.
