Over the weekend you’ve been submerged in the effects of 9/11 from ten years ago. It’s been very emotional and traumatic. I sympathize with every family who has lost a loved one in the events of that time or in the military actions and events that followed. May the Lord be with you all.
I suppose what distressed me most was to see clergymen and women, many of whom seem to have lost their moorings. Thankfully no one in our family has been through that – but of course I sympathize as deeply as I can with them in their losses. Without trying to say anything that is bothersome in the least to them I sincerely ask that they call upon the Lord and HE will answer.
The emotional situation in such cases is devastating – but that does not change the reality of God’s plan for mankind and this universe. I am not simply repeating some rote information when I say “If you call upon HIM, HE will answer.” In fact HE – the triune God is the only one capable of answering in a true and righteous way. I’ll leave it at that for now – because it is evident every family touched by these events and the ramifications and further losses that followed has suffered. May I just say with all the concern and love I can muster – and voicing the Lord’s truth – there are answers God’s ‘for real’ answers that are just and good. They are accessible. Don’t give up. Now for some different news. This came over the wires late on Friday so it’s the first time I’ve had to comment on the election that comes up on Tuesday this week. Just be listening or reading as you have the opportunity. Contact me about that too if you wish. I think it’s news that may be the first “indication” of the kind of election result that’s cooking in the background. Admittedly, I’m quick to jump on new-news….and too often tend to ‘find what I’m lookin’ for’ which doesn’t make for unemotional predictions… but I think you’ll at least find it interesting.

A month ago Democrat Weprin led Turner by six points; now the lead has reversed in the Republican’s favor by six points. The Democrats have poured half a million dollars into this race -- apparently to little avail.
