GOP CANDIDATESDEMONSTRATE ABILITY TO AGREE -- FOR JUST A MINUTE RADIO on Friday 110923

Thursday night is about the first time I’ve watched a long TV ‘debate’ and enjoyed it.

I think the real reason is there weren’t any competing ideologies involved in the set up. Google and Fox News put it together and used their own talent as the interlocutors – Baier, Kelly and Wallace -- who did an excellent and professional job in handling the responses of the candidates.

There’s no need for me to go into what differentiates the candidates – you’re perfectly able to do that on your own. The thing to keep before the electorate – especially the Conservative/Moderate center – is, we need a government that will be strong and resolute in helping us recover from the pit we let the Obama-ites dig for the nation. There will be a long difficult climb out of the hole – and lots of conflicting advice. But in the hands of strong leadership committed to constitutionality and a moral government (and the grace of God) it can be done.

Of course when I get into one of these crucial places – well, I begin to think at my age, I’m not going to be around that much longer to enjoy or be bothered by deficient government.  Although I also think of my children, grandchildren and now greatgrandchildren – they’re already hereHow did this happen so fast. I just got out of college last year. (OH no… that’s not accurate!)

Well… I’m happy and glad to know the future is in the Lord’s hands and HE knows what is best because HE made it… and by HIM it all holds together.

There will be that point at which we (all those who have come to a saving knowledge of the Saviour) will ‘know as we are known.’  And all the things we didn’t understand will become clear to us and we can see the reason for them. That will be wonderful!

Some folks think I’m just engaged in pipe-dreams… no… not that. I’m relying on what I personally have read in the Bible.  And I thank teachers who know the languages in which the original manuscripts were written. Plus the background of the miracles that establish the authenticity of the Bible and its characters and what they did and taught. So… I know I may not be correct about *everything* and there are points – generally lesser unimportant ones, not essentials – where we may disagree. BUT when we all get to the place where Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit explain it all – and make it clear to us… God will wipe away every tear and all hurts and we’ll be with HIM forevermore.

I hope you don’t mind me mentioning this – because it is not only what I *believe* but it is also what I have thus far proven by experience. So… I have much to be thankful for.

Well… it’s almost midnight as I write this… so I need to get it in place for airing tomorrow. Also I take my place as a traffic warden on Fridays to help supervise the incoming and outgoing traffic at a Christian school (K4-12) which is where kids grow up and have the opportunity to get educated in the Bible and the knowledge of the Lord.  How blessed am I!

Thanks for reading this far… and for joining in the good feelings and rejoicing about this very day.

Cordially, IN HIM

Jack

“JUST A MINUTE”

GOP CANDIDATES DEMONSTRATE ABILITY TO AGREE

Just a Minute: The Google-Fox sponsored debate in Orlando, Florida last evening was refreshing and essentially stayed on track. Each of the nine participants had good opportunity to handle questions and all were included, including a newbie -- the former Governor of New Mexico.

Except for a few sharp elbows between Gov. Perry and Gov. Romney which seemed to be couched in humor to some degree, the evening went along smoothly. There was no jarring note from leftish newsies trying to demonstrate their superiority. The two main contenders stood beside one another with exchanges not bitter nor boiling.

Mrs. Bachmann was the sole feminine candidate but was treated respectfully and all elicited cheers and applause from the well -behaved Florida crowd. I found it informative, the format was varied with questions winnowed via TV from a world-wide audience -- I’d say the whole program came off as good, informative entertainment that should do the Republicans proud. There’ll be lots of speculation as to ‘who won.’ But I think they all did.
