WE ARE JUST MAKING THE PROCESS SIMPLER -- for Just a Minute RadioFriday120817

As usual things slide down to the end of the week and things get kind of cluttered up.

As a family we laid to rest a veteran from WWII and the Korean War in the Lovely Veteran’s Cemetery near Anderson, SC. It was a very touching ceremony with taps and the flag-draped coffin in a beautiful park manicured for its job as a resting place for the veterans of the United States Military.  I was proud to be able to be there.

It seems that some things the government does, it does well and this is one.

We’re drawing nearer the end of the road on this election matter – and as many have read me say in this blog before… it can’t come too soon. For me I think this is the most depressing part of a President’s Term. Saying good by to staff and unwinding the associations. But I would also think there are benefits of being relieved of the responsibilities which are naturally quite heavy.

Let us proceed with patience as an older lawyer – accustomed to dealing with governmental minutia told me once after my expression of frustration –

Now now Mr. Buttram… let us make haste – patiently.  At least that’s how I recall it. He didn’t make errors and the work we got done was good and significant. It seems like a long time ago.

Hope you have a good weekend – enjoy it and be back with us on Monday, Lord Willing.

“JUST A MINUTE”

WE ARE MAKING THIS PROCESS SIMPLER

Just a Minute: A Pennsylvania judge has done the rest of us a favor. His name is Judge Robert Simpson and he refused to block a new ID law from going into effect. He refused to overturn a law duly passed by the legislature and signed by the Governor.

The law applies equally to all the state’s residents and the Commonwealth will carry out the law in a “non partisan and even-handed manner,” he said. The matter arose due to an ACLU complaint alleging the state was trying to suppress minority votes.  It will probably pit Judge Simpson against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder who’s trying his level best to make minority votes count even when they are illegal.

Adding emotion to the case – but not contesting it in Federal Court because a similar case has already been decided in Indiana against, the complainants – the ACLU is bringing up a 93 year old widow who will be allowed to vote under provisions of the new law despite having no birth certificate.

So we’re applauding Judge Simpson who is doing what he can to keep the law above politics.

DON'T SCRATCH THE PAINT! - Just a Minute Radio blogspot.comthursday120816

You’ll be interested in reading the homework that’s pointed out in today’s program.

It’s about the contest that’s heating up hot and heavy in the electoral closet.  What we’re hearing mostly is “Yes you did…” – “No I didn’t!” … “Yes… etc. “

This *could* get tiring unless they come up with some new lines and examples of what’s goin’ on.

Possibly a bit of examination of the evidence cited in today’s program might give you cause for belief….at least I think so.

I was searching for a subject about which to write – and I happened upon some information I think almost everyone will like to try on with their thinking cap. Give it a spin and tell me what you think.  The article to which I made reference is there before you for your perusal at your convenience. Sorry 60 seconds doesn’t give me a lot of time for ‘argufying’ – I mostly have to let others do that for me. And frankly no matter who speaks “economic-ease” in my direction better go slow or I’ll miss it altogether.

So exercise *your* little grey cells a bit and give me a reaction. I’ll welcome your input.

“JUST A MINUTE”

DON’T SCRATCH THE PAINT!

Just a Minute: There’s an old “game” on the midway called the shell game. Its forte’ is moving the hand faster than the eye – and fooling the guesser into thinking the bean is under a different shell. Guessing the right shell wins you a prize – guessing the wrong one costs you some money.

This week, I read in a business newspaper how dealers of more than one luxury car are using the equivalent of the old “shell game” to boost sales at a time of year when dealers need to move out old stock to make way for the new. They call it ‘selling demos’ rather than fooling the buyer.

We’re in the same kind of situation in the current election cycle! It’s called “fool the voter” – and it’s being put forward very skillfully by master players – ones that have professed innocence while running rough-shod over unsuspecting honest voters who think they’re just exercising their civic duty.

Read the Wednesday Aug. 15 issue of the Wall St. Journal page B-1 the story about “Demo Sales”, and you can get all the details.

NOW WE'RE GOING TO BE BUSY (AGAIN) TILL NOVEMBER -- Just a Minute Radio for Wednesday 120815

Wonderful to be able to communicate with you. It’s a real JOY to know you are able to be there.

Sometimes in these late night sessions I lose my way – can’t recall whether I’ve done a particular duty or not and usually it’s not. Unfortunately, for Angelo, our posting man at the key point in our distribution network, he’s the one that has to run me down and get me on the ball with either the promoline or the blog entry.

They are all tied together so missing one sort of throws the others out of whack too.  Kind of like a fine, precise Swiss watch. That has a piece is missing or installed wrong it shows up in the whole production. (L)…which makes me the centerpiece of the failure. Sort of depressing. But a goal to strive for.

One of the things distracting back and forth is of course my son Kim’s illness due to the pedestrian/auto accident that happened 5 weeks … no six weeks ago depending on just how you count. In any case it’s something important we carry with us every day. And we pray intently for the medical workers in the skilled nursing center where he’s located.

We also have others in the family – one of whom passed away yesterday and the funeral is tomorrow. It wasn’t an accident or unexpected – but still it’s an event of import in one’s life and while we know the man (In this case a daughter-in-law’s father.) Is beloved in his family and will be missed – but at the same time, knowing he died as a believer and had a loving family and friends… it’s still a loss --  though we know he’s FAR better off than he was.

These things bear their own concerns for others and for how they are being affected. So there is a spirit of seriousness mixed with relief and joyfulness that they are now beyond the pain and difficulties of illnesses. Still we carry the sorrow for even their temporary absence and long to be reunited – taking comfort that we will see them again… and possibly sooner than we had expected.

It’s a juncture in life that has sorrow and laughter – I have been this way before and look forward to the time when the issues will be over.

Well – we’re in the middle of an election. People are being built up and let down.  So there are other things which must be attended to at this time – and we will be the better for it all we trust. WE Leave it in the Lord’s hands and look forward to seeing you with us again tomorrow Lord Willing!

DON'T TRY TO 'MANAGE' PAUL TOO MUCH -- For Just A Minute Radio on Tuesday August 14th 120814

With all the things happening around us having a death in the family is not a welcome thought or occurrence.

Our daughter-in-law’s father passed away yesterday morning and while it was not unexpected, it’s still something that happens which weigh’s on the mind and actions. We certainly appreciate all the prayers from our friends and other families. Some of you know our son Kim was hit by a car on the evening of the 4th of July – and basically has been seriously under care since then – in a coma for the most part – and only giving us minimum indications that he may recover.

However, as Christians and believers in the Lord Jesus, and from the word of God – the Bible as well as the encouragement of the Holy Spirit through the word and in our hearts – we continue to look to the Lord for his will and comfort in these times. We don’t *demand* miracles, but it will be an evidence of faith in the Lord if he is returned to us. So we pray with expectations and joyfulness in knowing the Lord is hearing us and is planning as well as carrying out for us the very best in each life. So, renewing our strength and cheer in that fashion we are so very happy and pleased to be turning all these concerns over to the Lord.

Perhaps you can tell from all that there are many things that are important on the large stage – but many more things that are of vast importance on the ‘smaller’ stage of our families. Just a quick recount: another son’s mother and father are both ill with cancers – and we know their health is fragile – but their eternal health really could not be better.

We had a call yesterday from an old school chum who is in the ministry. His youngest son passed away about two years ago. We prayed for his recovery – and he was cheerful – but now he is home with the Lord and we’re happy for that. I’m sure some are saying “What’s cheerful about that?” – the answer is when you have your faith in the certainty of Christ’s love – there is really nothing to be downhearted about except the *temporary* separations – to be bounded by *eternal* joy in the Lord’s presence and with our loved ones.

Well, I could go on but I’m sure I’m not capable of properly portraying the fellowship and sweetness of the Lord’s love – so I’ll stop for now… but just to let you know the song “It’s Real – I know it’s real…” brings real comfort, cheer and jubilation to our hearts. I hope you can understand what I am trying to communicate. May the Lord be with you and your families --   He will be if you simply ask!  May the Lord continue to richly bless you and your family.

Cordially, IN HIM

“JUST A MINUTE”

DON’T TRY TO MANAGE PAUL TOO MUCH

Just a Minute: Top newswriters have observed the drill. Bring on the speech writers and makeup artists to create a winning crown prince. Nahaa – that’s all wrong. The American newsies want to be turned loose on the ‘remaking’ of Paul Ryan – which is exactly the wrong recipe now.

Let Paul be Paul. He’s forthright and forceful without being overbearing. Otherwise he wouldn’t have made it like he has among the ordinary run-of-the-mill people who normally fill up the seats in the Congress. Paul Ryan served as a get-it done guy to Senator Sam Brownback, who was no slouch at accomplishing what needed to be done in his job in the Senate. He’s been involved in Christian causes and is known as one who won’t back down when it comes to moral issues. Paul Ryan cut his political teeth serving under Brownback and has an obvious straight arrow background that fits in the Midwest.

He’s friendly but determined, not brushing away the principled people but committed to reaching the goals he’s helped set for himself.  Give him a chance and some room to score – and he will.

HERE'S SOMETHING A LITTLE OUT OF THE ORDINARY -- Just A Minute Radio for Monday 120813

OK – we’re at the top of the hill – ready to bobsled down to November 6th when we expect to conclude Mr. Obama’s term at POTUS and replace him with Mr. Romney. Won’t that be a glorious day when we hit bottom and start back up!

Not much doubt about it, we’re going to have a notorious climb back into a reasonable economic picture – and it’s not going to happen overnight. But we will have a certain enjoyment in seeing things get batter rather than worse. We’re just going to have to be patient and follow the leader. The reason I say that is I think Mr. Ryan has already demonstrated his abilities and capabilities to give sound advice. To the extent he’s been able to exert leadership in the Budget Committee heretofore there’s been good results. The trouble has been it’s been watered down to smoke and NOTHIN.  Certainly this is the first time in modern times that the legislature has operated *without* a budget totally.

I think and I hope there will be so many changes demanded by the remaining Democrats they will shortly begin to see the beneficial effects of having a budgetary team on duty that knows where it needs to go and how to get there. This motley majority crew has been without leadership so far and flown by the seat of their pants (or with no guidance at all except from “Dirty” Harry) so long that it’s going to take some time to get the Dems to realize this is a new day a new team and we’re going to be wrestling with a *mountain* of debt. Until we get the ship ‘righted’ and on a reasonable course. We’re going to be vulnerable to the “stupidity” waves that are the result of the “LOOK MA - NO HANDS” policies that have largely been in place by Mr. Obama and his cohorts. Getting back on track and out of the swamp is going to be a gigantic task – and we’re going to have to be patient and cheerful.

Well, I’m crossing that bridge before we get to it; the first task is to get the ship back upright and headed in the right direction… that’s going to take time and toughness. Everybody’s going to expect miracles. BUT if we apply the same diligence that came into play when Chick-fil-A was under attack – we will be able to achieve that kind of result. And to get that in gear will take the same kind of attitude and *prayer* that caused the success for Mr. Cathy and his crew.

He wasn’t mean to anybody – just dedicated – briefed his troops … set his eye on the prize and broke all the previous records. We can do the same thing with this task if we just stay united and dedicated to the Reagan-like Administration effort begun in 1980. It CAN be done it just takes aim and effort – we can pull it off with lots of prayer.

Lets’s get to it!

“JUST A MINUTE”

HERE’S SOMETHING A LITTLE OUT OF THE ORDINARY

Just a Minute: Since possibly you’ve already heard more than you wanted to about Paul Ryan taking on the task of winning the vice presidency as Mr. Romney’s running mate. I wanted to point out something a little out of the ordinary for today. For instance did you know a Teddy Roosevelt campaign button recently sold for $24,500 in a collector’s hotel room even before the APIC convention began which met in Columbus, Ohio week before last. APIC is the American Political Items Collectors convention.

Another campaign item sold for $26,000 depicting the 1920 Campaign of James M. Cox and his running mate Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It was described as very rare because only 60 or so are thought to exist due to campaign money being very low that year. It was the year Warren Harding won in a landslide. A Harding-Coolidge button brought only $8,000.

I just thought you’d like to know. A Strom Thurmond poster brought twenty-five-hundred – so keep your eyes open. You never can tell – in some instances even losing can winning. <> I’m Jack Buttram. (END)

WE'RE TIRED OF GETTING BATTED AROUND -- Just a Minute Radio for Friday 120810

I’m not sure I’m going to last for the whole 96 days they say are still remaining in the campaign before the actual voting.

Really I don’t know just when anything that’s as tiring in a similar way has come along recently that’s had this much of a tiring effect on me. I’m not exactly complaining – I just don’t understand the “go’round” that’s happening. Do you think it could be the fact that I passed the 80 mpg mark back in January has anything to do with it? (L) Surely not! OTOH I’ve never exactly been this way before. [I’ve wanted quite a long while to find out what I wanna be when I grow up.]

Just trying to think it through. – Another thing the days seem to be getting shorter faster this year. Wonder what that has to do with it? I”ve noticed eyelid closing times seem to come earlier or more suddenly – like around ten thirty in the morning or two thirty in the afternoon. My dog Emma likes to go on walks in the neighborhood…. In fact she often wants to go much more enthusiastically than I do.

Yesterday I got, via the UPS driver, the Nuance “Dragon” --- which is supposed to be the poorman’s answer for not having his own typist – or taking the time to learn how to do it himself. In other words I’m going to try how to turn speech into written text virtually effortlessly.  Anyone want to place bets?  I’m not sure I do. I already tried once and had to send the thing back…. Now the second go and I hope it won’t take a third go ‘round.

We’re getting to the end of the electoral race and I’ve got a LOT of things to do writing and mailing etc. So… I’m giving it another try.  First thing is learning how to get it to work… and all that goes with that.

So anticipating a busy day tomorrow getting this off my plate – I’m hitting the hay. Look for you next week at EARL’N’ LESTER’S BAIT SHOP AND SUSHI BAR. People wonder where it is…it’s in the make believe town on the CAROLINER LINE… and we’re gonna have fun learning how to capture all the different accents etc. and put them in scripts or on the air or whatever the Lord leads. See you then….’

“JUST A MINUTE”

WE’RE TIRED OF GETTING BATTED AROUND

Just a Minute: There were some interesting bat-minton contests televised from the Olympics in England – but I never considered that game with the skinny racquets was Olympic material I guess. Anyway we in the South and especially conservatives are getting ‘batted’ around I think as we draw nearer the election.

Kansas Governor – and former Senator Sam Brownback – is leading what the headlines describe as a “Voter Uprising” and it impresses me as only one of a batch of ‘uprisings’ that are forming up as the elections show up on the horizon. The Wall St. Journal calls it a ‘voter rebellion’ out there and say last Tuesday at least nine state senators have lost their senate seats to conservative challengers.  Brownback campaigned in 2010 on a ticket promising to make slow-growth Kansas more competitive. Now (or shortly) he’ll have a Senate majority that he can work with.

What is most interesting is that similar incumbency is being reined in Indiana, Nebraska and Texas. Next week we’ll try to take a look at how Tea Partyites and other basket upsetters may be setting the stage for some grass roots reconstruction.

NOW WE'RE GOING TO BE BUSY 'TILL NOVEMBER -- Just A Minute Radio.blogspot.com for Wednesday120808

Some days it’s difficult to know whether one’s coming or going.

Today felt suspiciously like another day in the turf – but we didn’t seem to make much progress moving the ball toward the goal posts. Seems like there was/is too much looseness in the ‘game’. But we’ll soldier on and keep an eye on the ammo.

Miz Pearlie seems to be restive. Possibly she caught the flavor of what the other guys were saying about slow progress… but that’s part of the strategy of the game. We saw a couple of British bicyclers and their opponents jockeying for position evening before last and for the life of me I couldn’t tell just how that competition was managed. Volleyball both two and six players on a team I can sort of follow – even with the speed of the play. But the fine points escaped me. Still and all it seemed like the players and the divers and all were giving it their best. I’m pleased with the contests.

However it does seem to take away some of the direct competition – but those of us who aren’t fans of *every* type of contest are left at the gate scratching our heads and wondering just what’s happened? We can always count on our friends at the Bait Shop and Sushi Bar in Playfair pull us out of the ignorance pit. At least we’ll try to look smart.

Time’s about up for today, we’re itching to try out some new equipment tomorrow to see if it can speed up our slowing down process.  Although with the many typing errors I tend to make I don’t see that assistance either human or specially made to order will be able to help us calm down the number of mistakes and turn them into victories.

Anyway – we’ll look forward to being with you in the contest window in the coming day – do all you can to pray for victory in the best way possible.

Cordially, IN HIM

I THOUGHT 'NO MORE LEGS' -- Just a Minute Radio for Tuesday 120807

As I noted on the promo lines to connect programs to the promotional materials – it’s awfully easy to mix up dates (to me at least) in the middle of the year. So forgive me if I seem confused. But then these days I often seem easily confused.

So to overcome that problem I’ve ordered some electronic program that should help me keep things better organized – at least that’s what the box says.

But you know there are lots of promises made on cereal boxes as well as medicine packets…. They too promise a lot that isn’t always delivered. However… I’m seeing if I can’t slow down a bit and as one little Indian girl said when we were on a trip with some grandchildren out west….Let’s smell the coffee beans.

I dunno… maybe that’s what makes the world slow down (or is it speed up) so you can understand things better. Anyway we’ll hope for the best.

It’s a little past midnight – but I note how much more my longing for the snack and snooze is pressing in upon the eyelids.  Thank you for your patience – things will be looking up soon! I think! And hope.

Look for you tomorrow… and we’ll have the bait shop and sushi bar folks on hand to keep us cheering ..;

“JUST A MINUTE”

I THOUGHT NO MORE ‘LEGS’

Just a Minute: Mr. ‘Flub-a-Dub’ – said he just really wanted to apologize to the friendly Chick-fil-A drive thru girl who had smilingly endured his attempts to raise her hackles. So he cashed in his chips on August first and just looked for a gracious way to exit “The “Chicken Inquisition” – as one newspaper had headlined the event.

Mr. ‘Flub-a-Dub’ had set up a videocam in his car thinking he could embarrass the Drive-Thru waitress but she just smiled her way right through the encounter – handed him his free ice water – and cheerily invited him to come back again if he wanted more. He’d put in about 40 minutes waiting in drive thru lane. His posting on U-tube got such a modicum of adverse response he finally took it down.

Main stream media convinced itself there would be a dearth of support in the northern and western states but the “pro” crowds didn’t show up on August Third  -- contrasted with Mike Huckabee’s call for Chick-fil-A day on August first, which became a sell-out in many locations and was a media blockbuster. <> I’m Jack Buttram.

THE CHICKEN INQUISITION IS OVER -- for JUST A MINUTE RADIO on Monday 120806

This has been a busy traveling week with hard but easy times to be spent with family and making new friends. Barbara and I attended a wedding for a grandson Trevor Harding (Kristi’s son)  and his new bride Mariel up in the mountains of North Carolina  -- they are honeymooning down on the Georgia coast now. But it was a beautiful trip… exciting storm during the night before the wedding and beautiful day and evening on “Cold Mountain” in the northwestern part of NC. Many Happy Reunions!!!

Meantime for those of you following the progress of son KIM who has been in hospital in Charleston WV since July 4th so August 4th marks a month he’s been under constant care and continuous attention. Kim’s youngest son is also named Jack, and he and his wife rushed home from a trip in Europe when the accident first happened. It’s basically been touch-and-go since then. Kim has to have 24 hour total care and this weekend he was moved from Charleston into a skilled nursing facility in Beckley – which gets him closer to home and friends in the church where he co-pastors in Daniels WV, right in the Beckley area.

That’s a mixed blessing – VERY much appreciated by the family because it makes it possible for other family supporters to help with supporting Linda and their adopted daughter Alyssa (Bad for me I’m not even sure I spelled it right.) But it’s much easier to get the kind of general support for KIM in Beckley – however… if they can get the paper work to clear up and Medicaid/Medicare/Disability to decide who will pay which bills that will be really helpful.

If they can get that cleared and get Kim to the place where he can *begin* to respond to rehabilitation it will be a giant step forward. But we are SO thankful for everyone’s help and prayers and concern.  I’m ABSOLUTELY sure that’s what’s gotten him to this point. The Lord has been SO good. That very first night when he was lying on the pavement of the highway two car lengths back from the impact point…. When Linda thought he was dead for sure, and it just so “happened” there was a young man with accidental and life-saving skills on the scene of the accident before the ambulance crew crew arrived who was able to assist in ministered to Linda and to help arrange immediate treatment, keeping him alive in the ambulance and then the airlift crew to CMAC in Charleston  -- well, it’s all overwhelming.

Of course Kim’s not out of the woods yet. All the medical people say he’s in for a long recovery – I guess what Linda and all of us (including you who are believers) is that we serve the Lord who IS in control. Who supplies the people with the abilities and talents and strength to help Kim survive. We went through something like this about 14 years ago with melanoma on his face and neck and many lymph nodes. A non-malignant brain tumor on the right side of his cranium – surgery, radiation and recovery and all that…  We’ve experienced some things like this before and the person who emerges is THE LORD.  He is the great physician, and we know HE has the resources to bring this all out as HE wishes and which is best for all concerned.

So that makes us willing, indeed longing, to turn it all over to HIM, and know that HIS way is best and as HE wills the most strengthening for whatever comes.

Thank you all for praying and for being a part of such a great support group and family.

Cordially, IN HIM

“JUST A MINUTE”

THE CHICKEN INQUISITION IS OVER

Just a Minute: A weekend newspaper labeled August First Chick-fil-A support day: “The Chicken Inquisition” – which seems like a good title.  So on Friday August 3rd I looked for ‘counter coverage’ of the intended as “Get Even” day – but I couldn’t find it.

I saw a few sign-makers – On August 1 the only signs had been the trade mark moo cows sayin’ “Eat More Chicken” – and one flub-a-dub of a guy on U-tube trying to intimidate a very pretty and pleasant drive-thru waitress into being rude. She was very kindly parrying the ‘smarty’ -- who had waited for about  40 minutes to get up to the drive-thru window so he could order what he conceived as an irritating cup of ice water. She just gave him the large cup with a smile, plenty of ice, and a cheery “come back any time.”

Chick-fil-A policy specifies they don’t discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation or a half dozen other things listed in their policy placard.

So the “get even day” was pretty much a DUD <> I’m Jack Buttram. (END)

THE PROOF OF THE PUDDING IS IN THE TASTING! -- Just a Minute Radio - for Friday 120803

Well, it happened again for the umpteenth time. I pushed the ‘send’ button before I set up the attachments … so it goes off to the workers ‘skinny’ and telephone calls follow and we have some lost time and my typing gets more and more flustered.

I’ve been thinking and planning to get a Speech to TEXT program that will help me get scripts written faster and (I HOPE) with lots less time correcting mistakes once I get used to the program. But I can’t do much worse than I do already with my finger typing. I’ve never been good at it… but never took the time or skill to do what ought to be done. Now I’m paying back. Just pray I don’t go up in a cloud of dusty doughnuts.

This week with the Chick-fil-A has been a rambunctious one.  Some times my typing is so bad the spelling corrector gives up on trying to piece out what I’m proposing. I hope it doesn’t get discouraged.

I did try the Dragon pgm… but for some reason it didn’t want to work and I don’t have my ”grandson guru’s” available on call to do what I need to have done…. So me and my two braincells do the best we can under the circumstances.

[Which reminds me of what my old Chemistry HS professor said about that –“What are you doing *under* the circumstances? Crawl out from under there and get to some productive work.” And I did … for a while… but I never conquered the typing demon…. I did give a good whack to the ‘spelling’ demon – Praise the Lord. Tho he comes back to see if he can’t win the next round. And if I’m tired enough he gives me a run for my $$$.  Won’t it be nice when we get to Heaven and all those problems are gone.! Not without a struggle I assume… but we have the LORD on our side! And that makes all the difference. ]

Today we had a little encouragement that Kim is improving slightly – but I think from the beginning we had fair warning that his recovery would be a long one. Praise the Lord for taking care of him that he was not injured more directly. The Lord apparently has more work for him as before. Praise the Lord.

Have a great weekend – don’t let the CFA enemies nay-say you.  This will be an encouraging skirmish that will glorify the Lord in the end.

See you Monday…. PTL…Stand up straight!

“JUST A MINUTE”

THE PROOF OF THE PUDDING IS IN THE TASTING!

Just a Minute: We can’t run a proof of pudding test before November 6th. But it reveals the temperament of the crowd, with no reason to go and visit Chick-fil-A Wednesday other than showing support – and eating chicken.

However, there’s one problem with a commentator’s program. You have a difficult time commenting before happens. You can guess and call it a prediction – but I’m not convinced that’s a surefire method when you’re trying to demonstrate truth or strength. There could be hailstones in the offing. I’ll just wait and see what the evening news brings forth – although I don’t always trust the observers. They sometimes screw up the needle-moving issues.

You’ll probably get a reasonable idea of how the tide is moving if you respect and trust the news medium you’re relying on. There’s an old saying: ‘Time will tell.’ I do think in this instance that’s the case.

So just keep your eyes on the skies and trust in the Lord.  He will bring us through. No doubt about it – the Lord is in control. <> I’m Jack Buttram. (END)
