Well, it happened again for the umpteenth time. I pushed the ‘send’ button before I set up the attachments … so it goes off to the workers ‘skinny’ and telephone calls follow and we have some lost time and my typing gets more and more flustered.
I’ve been thinking and planning to get a Speech to TEXT program that will help me get scripts written faster and (I HOPE) with lots less time correcting mistakes once I get used to the program. But I can’t do much worse than I do already with my finger typing. I’ve never been good at it… but never took the time or skill to do what ought to be done. Now I’m paying back. Just pray I don’t go up in a cloud of dusty doughnuts.
This week with the Chick-fil-A has been a rambunctious one. Some times my typing is so bad the spelling corrector gives up on trying to piece out what I’m proposing. I hope it doesn’t get discouraged.
I did try the Dragon pgm… but for some reason it didn’t want to work and I don’t have my ”grandson guru’s” available on call to do what I need to have done…. So me and my two braincells do the best we can under the circumstances.
[Which reminds me of what my old Chemistry HS professor said about that –“What are you doing *under* the circumstances? Crawl out from under there and get to some productive work.” And I did … for a while… but I never conquered the typing demon…. I did give a good whack to the ‘spelling’ demon – Praise the Lord. Tho he comes back to see if he can’t win the next round. And if I’m tired enough he gives me a run for my $$$. Won’t it be nice when we get to Heaven and all those problems are gone.! Not without a struggle I assume… but we have the LORD on our side! And that makes all the difference. ]
Today we had a little encouragement that Kim is improving slightly – but I think from the beginning we had fair warning that his recovery would be a long one. Praise the Lord for taking care of him that he was not injured more directly. The Lord apparently has more work for him as before. Praise the Lord.
Have a great weekend – don’t let the CFA enemies nay-say you. This will be an encouraging skirmish that will glorify the Lord in the end.
See you Monday…. PTL…Stand up straight!
Cordially, IN HIM
Smilin’ Jack & Lady Barbara send you greetings and keep looking up!=============================================
“JUST A MINUTE”
THE PROOF OF THE PUDDING IS IN THE TASTING!
Just a Minute: We can’t run a proof of pudding test before November 6th. But it reveals the temperament of the crowd, with no reason to go and visit Chick-fil-A Wednesday other than showing support – and eating chicken.
However, there’s one problem with a commentator’s program. You have a difficult time commenting before happens. You can guess and call it a prediction – but I’m not convinced that’s a surefire method when you’re trying to demonstrate truth or strength. There could be hailstones in the offing. I’ll just wait and see what the evening news brings forth – although I don’t always trust the observers. They sometimes screw up the needle-moving issues.
You’ll probably get a reasonable idea of how the tide is moving if you respect and trust the news medium you’re relying on. There’s an old saying: ‘Time will tell.’ I do think in this instance that’s the case.
So just keep your eyes on the skies and trust in the Lord. He will bring us through. No doubt about it – the Lord is in control. <> I’m Jack Buttram. (END)
