I THOUGHT 'NO MORE LEGS' -- Just a Minute Radio for Tuesday 120807

As I noted on the promo lines to connect programs to the promotional materials – it’s awfully easy to mix up dates (to me at least) in the middle of the year. So forgive me if I seem confused. But then these days I often seem easily confused.

So to overcome that problem I’ve ordered some electronic program that should help me keep things better organized – at least that’s what the box says.

But you know there are lots of promises made on cereal boxes as well as medicine packets…. They too promise a lot that isn’t always delivered. However… I’m seeing if I can’t slow down a bit and as one little Indian girl said when we were on a trip with some grandchildren out west….Let’s smell the coffee beans.

I dunno… maybe that’s what makes the world slow down (or is it speed up) so you can understand things better. Anyway we’ll hope for the best.

It’s a little past midnight – but I note how much more my longing for the snack and snooze is pressing in upon the eyelids.  Thank you for your patience – things will be looking up soon! I think! And hope.

Look for you tomorrow… and we’ll have the bait shop and sushi bar folks on hand to keep us cheering ..;

Cordially, IN HIM.

“JUST A MINUTE”

I THOUGHT NO MORE ‘LEGS’

            Just a Minute: Mr. ‘Flub-a-Dub’ – said he just really wanted to apologize to the friendly Chick-fil-A drive thru girl who had smilingly endured his attempts to raise her hackles. So he cashed in his chips on August first and just looked for a gracious way to exit “The “Chicken Inquisition” – as one newspaper had headlined the event.

          Mr. ‘Flub-a-Dub’ had set up a videocam in his car thinking he could embarrass the Drive-Thru waitress but she just smiled her way right through the encounter – handed him his free ice water – and cheerily invited him to come back again if he wanted more. He’d put in about 40 minutes waiting in drive thru lane. His posting on U-tube got such a modicum of adverse response he finally took it down.

          Main stream media convinced itself there would be a dearth of support in the northern and western states but the “pro” crowds didn’t show up on August Third  -- contrasted with Mike Huckabee’s call for Chick-fil-A day on August first, which became a sell-out in many locations and was a media blockbuster. <> I’m Jack Buttram.
