You’ll be interested in reading the homework that’s pointed out in today’s program.
It’s about the contest that’s heating up hot and heavy in the electoral closet. What we’re hearing mostly is “Yes you did…” – “No I didn’t!” … “Yes… etc. “
This *could* get tiring unless they come up with some new lines and examples of what’s goin’ on.
Possibly a bit of examination of the evidence cited in today’s program might give you cause for belief….at least I think so.
I was searching for a subject about which to write – and I happened upon some information I think almost everyone will like to try on with their thinking cap. Give it a spin and tell me what you think. The article to which I made reference is there before you for your perusal at your convenience. Sorry 60 seconds doesn’t give me a lot of time for ‘argufying’ – I mostly have to let others do that for me. And frankly no matter who speaks “economic-ease” in my direction better go slow or I’ll miss it altogether.
So exercise *your* little grey cells a bit and give me a reaction. I’ll welcome your input.
Cordially, IN HIM

“JUST A MINUTE”
DON’T SCRATCH THE PAINT!
Just a Minute: There’s an old “game” on the midway called the shell game. Its forte’ is moving the hand faster than the eye – and fooling the guesser into thinking the bean is under a different shell. Guessing the right shell wins you a prize – guessing the wrong one costs you some money.
This week, I read in a business newspaper how dealers of more than one luxury car are using the equivalent of the old “shell game” to boost sales at a time of year when dealers need to move out old stock to make way for the new. They call it ‘selling demos’ rather than fooling the buyer.
We’re in the same kind of situation in the current election cycle! It’s called “fool the voter” – and it’s being put forward very skillfully by master players – ones that have professed innocence while running rough-shod over unsuspecting honest voters who think they’re just exercising their civic duty.
Read the Wednesday Aug. 15 issue of the Wall St. Journal page B-1 the story about “Demo Sales”, and you can get all the details.
