Hi Folks Welcome Aboard… The Jolly Roger:
Representative Weiner is not a good liar. He also mistakes politeness for forgiveness. When you tell lies – as he did for all the world to see – your need is to be forgiven – before God and man. There is much to be discovered on the road to a clear conscience. I don’t see him prepared particularly to make the journey. I wish him well and pray for him – but he has great needs.
In our country we also are in great need. And letting such egregious lying slip by – simply muddies the waters and makes all the greater the need for America to learn you cannot run a needy country on moral buttermilk. The Republicans are not perfect by any means. And quite frankly I wish the other side didn’t have Senator David Vitter’s bad example with which to beat our party over the head. But we are here and there’s no going back now.
Mark Sandford is another – if I may write plainly – traitor to the cause. How are we supposed to lead our nation into genuine righteousness before the Lord, when the Governor lies, misbehaves and still hangs on to power. It’s a *very poor* example. I’m aware I come across as an old curmudgeon – but the word of God is absolutely true: “Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people”.(Proverbs 14:34) One need only read Joshua Chapters 7 & 8 (it’ll take less than ten minutes) to see how the Lord disciplines Israel after their magnificent victory at Jericho – followed by their ignominious defeat when they tried to take Ai – and were severely defeated because of sin in the camp – ultimately turned into victory when they became obedient to the Lord.
It’s a wonderful short story and worth reading whenever you’re wondering just why things aren’t going better.
Well, It’s getting late again… and I have more chores to do… but I think the wringer we have just been through – and the battles left to be fought in before a wicked and sinful generation – demonstrate if we will but pay attention. We cannot sit back upon our laurels and roll to victory. It’s going to be a hard ‘slog’ all the way – but GOD is our refuge and strength… “A very present help in time of trouble.”
Well here I am up on my soapbox again… early in the morning.
Have a great day – sing a little, trust in the Lord. He love *YOU.*
Cordially, IN HIM

PLEASE USE THE CORRECT DESCRIPTION OR CONFUSION RUNS AMOK
Just a Minute: After days of deception, when Rep. Anthony Weiner – (D-9th NY) – swore up and down he did not send a woman he did not know a risqué picture of his drawers. The story and his demeanor did not ring true, and a diligent conservative blogger (Andrew Breibart) apparently pulled the string and spoke to his press conference dumping over ‘Tony’s’ applecart in Brooklyn.
Most House associates regard him as arrogant. He is a ‘little’ Chuck Schumer whose staff taught him how to jump in front of the cameras. At 46, he’s married less than a year and believes his marriage will survive his violation of the marriage vows. I hope so.
Where he errs is calling his escapades, and lies about them, mistakes. Mistakes are when one *intends* to do one thing but does another. His actions are “sins” – Defined in my American Heritage Dictionary – not my Bible – as (Quote) “A transgression of a religious or moral law, especially when deliberate.” These, Mr. Weiner, require forgiveness, not just a nebulous ‘taking responsibility’ for them.
