Howdy – I’m beginning to get over that ‘threadbare’ feeling after being put through the wringer.
Actually, I’ve been around elections so long I ought not to have much in the way of reaction at all – and we have prayed for the Lord’s will to be done. I’m confident it has been. The Lord brings us to this point for a purpose – and we’ll do well to heed the lesson being catechized. Perhaps if it’s well-learned it won’t have to be repeated.
No need to go through a point by point analysis of the two year campaign – which everyone agrees was too long. But I’ve already heard one report that the plans for rebuilding the Republican Party must start being implemented right now! Well… lets not hop up on our high horse and ride off in all directions.
One of my friends who lives up north…
Well, that’s insignificant in my book – but I do think we need to have a stern school of being civil – and mandate all ‘talking heads’ and ‘network correspondents’ and reporters be required to take the test and get a passing grade. However… that’s grist to be ground another day. I welcome your comments and emendations (isn’t that a classy word… it just popped into my head. – it means an alteration intended to improve) and look forward to a joyous day – as I hope you do.
Cordially, IN HIM

“JUST A MINUTE”
NOW COMES THE HARD PART
Just A Minute – “President Obama is MY President.” So writes Scott Ott, author of the satirical blog “Scrappleface.” Scott makes the same point I heard from Gen. Tommy Franks last night on FOX News. As Americans we all owe – and will pay – allegiance to our new leader; Franks is confident of that and so am I. No bumper stickers saying “I Voted for McCain” – it’s over, the fat lady’s performance has ended.
For a change, pollsters had a good Election Night. Scott Rasmussen says his final survey showed Obama ahead by 52 to 46, is exactly what it was at the finish line. Apparently the breakpoint occurred during the two September weeks when the financial markets hit melt-down enabling Obama to pull ahead by five points to 52 percent while McCain got stuck between 44 and 47 during the last 40 days. So just forget blaming Sarah Palin.
Let’s not forget – we prayed for the Lord’s will to be done. We can be confident it has been. First Timothy two - verses 1 through 3 are our marching orders now: Check it out.
