Well – Hello again… Hope you were refreshed on this beautiful weekend.
The colors here in the SC upstate have been brilliant this year. I guess the dry weather has something to do with it… or the storms we got and then they forgot to come back. Anyway… the leaves have just maxed their peak here this weekend… We had a great time driving up toward the state line in Greenville County for an outdoor art show near Gowensville (one of those smallish places that doesn’t have a Post Office – BUT it does have the last remaining covered bridge in SC) – and had an excellent time looking over the artists’ wares – while chomping on a chili-dog reasonably priced…(not like the hawkers in the sports arenas that are trying to retire on their outrageously priced snacks.
Well… there I’m off on a rant again. The beautiful Fall weather has mitigated my mood somewhat… but a story that broke Friday (I think it was… ) would have put a cloud on things if it hadn’t been so beautiful – and the temps were good too – as long as you stood in the sun not the shade.
The script below gives the 60 second version of what happened when Gov. Sarah Palin got back to
However… playing the blame game gets old. Far better to concentrate on getting rid of the weak characters (and the no-characters; or bad-characters) – and rebuilding the party on the core beliefs and those who will support them. Many of the Democrat gains are due to the more conservative members running on what should be Republican followed principles.
But why – for the life of me – the people in Jack Murtha’s SW Penna. district continue to send him back to Congress when he calls them first racists and then rednecks… I dunno. (Of course down here being a ‘REDNECK’ is to guarantee a place on Jeff Foxworthy’s next album.)
Cordially, IN HIM

“JUST A MINUTE”
JERKS IN THE CROSS HAIRS
Just A Minute – When Gov. Sarah Palin got back to
The Governor said: "That's cruel. It's mean-spirited. It's immature. It's unprofessional, and those guys are jerks if they came away with it, taking things out of context, and then try[ing] to spread something on national news."
The Republican National Committee reported on recent Federal Election Commission filings $150,000 in wardrobe purchases for the Palins and the McCain Campaign said at least a third of those were returned. Palin herself said, “Those are RNC clothes – to be given to charity I understand. I never asked anybody to buy anything except a diet Dr. Pepper once in a while.”
Rumor has it some GOP-elites in McCain’s operation manufactured the stories wanting to sully Sarah’s reputation so badly she couldn’t run again nationally.
Instead the ‘jerks’ slimed themselves.
