Ever try to unravel a ball of twine that was not ‘done up’ correctly? It’s a task!
We have a report on today’s JUST A MINUTE which tells a bit of a story that got a lot of pre air publicity but nobody could find it readily in the Internet… But there are clips we hear and *somebody* must have aired them… but it was a fund raiser after all… and they got about a thousand folks in a ballroom to hear Herman and Newt.

The ‘debate’ Saturday night was – according to all the sources I can find – congenial, which it was supposed to be from the beginning. One or two clips on the Internet say that Herman Cain lost his patience with some members of the press afterwards – and I imagine it was from being badgered. However… you’ll have to go further to check that out… I’m not running a gossip column here. (J)
I suppose it was a good change of pace as far as debates go. It is hard to get a good and extensive answer in about 30 seconds or a minute… and once you’ve heard a few of those ‘shortbread’ answers if you’re writing the fourth story on these debates after all you got to be looking for something else. Apparently two or three women-folk have decided to bring up ‘something else’ – and I make no judgments about that it’s far too complex for me to untangle.
So… if you’re reading this… you have access to the Internet as I do – and you can go poking around to find out what you wish. I’ve got other things to look up and write about. (J) But I still love you!

The set up was completely different from other ‘debates’. It was mostly un-moderated and I could find no available video-clips or transcripts of the two-hour exchange. I’m guessing it was an easier engagement than Mr. Cain will encounter Monday when the regular rules return and the sexual harassment pot continues to boil-over. Two or three – thus far anonymous women – are maintaining the story which may erupt Monday.
No names had surfaced as this report was prepared. One obscure opinion poll says Cain lost 5 percentage points on their first run – but it’s not a widely recognized poll. Whatever leaks or alleged facts show up the result will most likely hurt Mr. Cain’s campaign.
