I don’t know when I’ve had a harder time getting the computer to do what *I* want it to do…
It always happens, I though, usually when I’m in a hurry. Yesterday I started in the middle of Sunday afternoon to accomplish writing the script for Monday – only to find I had more problems with the ‘highly edited’ manuscript.
Problem is when you edit the script A LOT – the computer gets recalcitrant. (You didn’t know computers have emotions did you? I found it out when I bought my first ‘trash-80’ RS computer in about 1985.) That machine was devilish in it’s resistance to doing what *I* wanted it to do. My wife remembers me coming up stairs (our office was in the basement) night after night grumbling and griping because it would NOT do what I wanted.
Does a computer have a brain? Well it’s not very BIG compared to the ones that took up whole rooms and required air-conditioning. But that’s all water under the bridge. I’ve been working with computers a LONG time – they just haven’t been working with me. (L)/// Grrr….
But someday… someday…. Ahh…. Give up!
You CAN’T GIVE UP when you’re in the middle of a job you promised the client by morning!
Well…no sennce griping about it… I’m never going to get computers to come over to MY way of thinking… I’ll die first… maybe not too much in the future. What I’m MOST happy about after that go round is there WON’T BE COMPUTERS in Heaven! Because nothing sinful is going to be there… and I’m sure computers are sinful… just like the Apostle Paul is probably rejoicing that there are no ships nor recalcitrant donkey’s in Heaven. Well – at least that’s what *I* think.
When I get there I’ll be happy to change my opinion to whatever the Lord wants.
Glad you came by today… let’s do it again soon!
Cordially, IN HIM
Jack
