OK – did you know about it – the fact the Marines are going to put about 2500 sets of boots on the ground in
Well, it completely escaped my attention although I look for new-news every day. This one snuck up on me. My mind was occupied elsewhere in the previous 24 hours…at least that’s all I hope it was. Nothing more forgetful… like Alzheimer’s. [Hoo-boy – praise the Lord for spell checkers.!]
Normally I would sharpen my pencil and go out after clearing up the unvarnished tails or web-ridden corners where the gremlins hide. The key to clear thinking is getting enough sleep… so you’re not ‘tuckered’ out. When that happens to me… I wish I had one of Thomas Edison’s office couches to lie down on. The stories are that he slept usually not more than 4 hours per night… and was often up working on something after just short catnaps.
Well I have short catnaps… but the creative process gets bogged down like in a sorghum’s mill where the ‘sticky’ gets all over the floor… and you can’t get enough stalks and stuff to keep it from sticking to the hooves of the animals… well… that’s all ancient history now.
Fortunately two things: 1. You don’t have to read or listen to my cane squeezin’ stories… Actually I never did any… but I saw the operation going on and tasted the result… It’s not like maple syrup… but I guess the process is much the same except for times and temps… etc.
Anyway… today was better. Mostly. I still have those cross-eyed periods when it seems I’m in slow motion and can’t figure out what’s wrong. So… I pray for more wisdom tomorrow.
Yesterday was an interesting day from a weather standpoint. I looked at the WX maps… and thanked the Lord it was not my task to be having to take people somewhere with that Big Front hanging across our coastal waters… It was a good day to be at home.
And now it’s a good time to hit the hay. So… I’ll do it… and See you here again on Friday. DV.
Cordially, IN HIM
Jack

THE PRESIDENT WOWS DOWN UNDER
Just a Minute: The President’s surprise trip to
Heretofore, true enough, in his previous campaigning and electioneering – The President has claimed the title “citizen of the world.” No one actually knows just how he got it. As a U.S. Senator he attempted a speech at the Brandenburg Gate (Normally reserved for heads of State.) but German Prime Minister Angela Merkle reminded *Senator* Obama he should make his speech there after being elected President, NOT before. Now he’ll be picking up “Envoy to the
The strongest interest shows in the surprise announcement 2500 Marines will soon start to be stationed in
Actually, Tom Friedman, of the New York Times who often claims China is superior to the USA will probably be the biggest promoter of a ‘safety net’ for Mr. Obama. <> I’m Jack Buttram. (END)
