Yes’m it *certainly is* Monday – all right… and the news anchors who had to rush to their smallish studios did so… about 10:30 EDT PM
My very alert wife was watching – and alerted me from my ‘lair’ to come and see… but then it took the White House so long to get the wheels turning… about 45 minutes later than the initial announcement said it would be – so I hadda get back to get today’s program all finished and put to bed.
Well, I suppose there was a lot of notifying and coordinating that had to go on… and I give the Sitting President credit for including the immediately preceding President in the rejoicing that Osama Bin Laden has been ‘brought to justice’ as he termed it. [I’m just as happy there was no “Mission Accomplished” sign displayed. These have been costly years from the beginning. And we as a Nation will be the stronger for having come through it I pray. But I can’t help wondering who is going to come forward to claim the 25 million $$$ prize… Perhaps it can be the beginning of a pot of money to help out people in unfortunate circumstances in America, Haiti and Japan – but I guess that much would have to be magnified by a power like the Lord’s when He fed the 5000 and the 7000 – we could certainly make a lot more people happy with that kind of effect.
Anyway—slowly by slowly we make progress… and we are certainly pleased to know the wheels of justice in God’s court continue to grind out truth and beauty.
Now let us get our work that is cut out for us concluded. The harvest truly is plenteous, unfortunately the laborers are few. Let us continue in prayer for the Lord of the Harvest to send forth more laborers into HIS harvest – and most of all let us be grateful and thankful to the Lord when it DOES HAPPEN – as I am sure it will – se simply are not empowered to know the time.
Now it looks as if the school year is also in it’s winding down phase. Let’s pray for the kids all over who are wrestling with the books and putting real effort into finishing strongly in this race of life.
I stayed up later than I intended last night to get all this news crafted away… so now it’s time to hit the hay. God bless you all and the great Country we live in. It’s not perfect – but it beats whatever is in second place…(J) and we can certainly Praise the Lord with Thanksgiving!

The Yankee Institute,– a free market group – estimates the State is planning 24 new taxes on Gov. Malloy’s yellow budget pad with a new cigarette tax, gasoline tax, booze, internet services, drugs – and if you own any luxury items like jewelry, private aircraft, yachts, pricey clothing or wealthy estate property – the tax man will have a new bill for you.
This is what always happens with new taxes – an onrush of income followed by an upsurge in spending and the inevitable tax increase.
Well, there’s more discouraging news but that’s enough for today.
