Here we are on a hot day in January. What do we do about it? Water the flowers!

Well its not real easy to do when you’ve got a dozen other things on your mind – but it needs to be done or “brown blossoms” faster than pink.

 

This – for some reason has become a difficult time of year. Routine has gone out the window and I’m a stickler for routine – at least if it is for me. Otherwise I forget.

 

And with all things sort of caving in around me – I’m going to call it slow-mo for this session…(I bin a bit ill.) So…I’m claimin’ a few hours off.

 

But Lord willing I’ll be better tomorrow. Thanks for your understandin’

TWO CHOICES – JONAH OR NAHUM

            Just a Minute: Noting what happened last week -- America is presently at a crossroads. Joel C. Rosenberg, author of a recent book – Implosion, and formerly on the staff of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and WORLD magazine is keen observer of events in the Middle East.     

          He says its likely Israel will shortly be facing a choice like that the people of Ninevah when the initially disobedient Jonah finally started preaching to the people in Ninevah, and declared, "Forty days and Ninevah will be overthrown." (Jonah 3:4) However, even though there was never a formal call for repentance the Ninevites realized how far off the mark they were and returned to the One True God.

          But 100 years or so later, the Ninevites had fallen back into tremendous evil, and wickedness. Through the Old Testament Prophet Nahum, the Lord again spoke to the people of Ninevah. But this time they did not plead for mercy nor turn from their wicked ways.  In 612 B.C. the city of Ninevah was utterly destroyed.
