DID WE EVER LEARN TO PUT ASIDE DISAGREEMENTS? -- Just A Minute Radio for Wednesday 120711

As the old song goes,”Life Is Not a Bowl of Cherries!”  I suppose this is one of those times we find it out for sure.

Our #2 Son Kim, who’s 57, is in the Charleston Area General Hospital. His previous bout with cancer and brain tumor removal was 13-14 years ago – but now at 57 he’s that much further along the cycle of life and thus not a likely prospect for a quick or full recovery. However, we know all these things are in the Lord’s hands and are perfectly willing to let it remain there.

So we are just overwhelmed with all the outpouring of love and care from so many people – some of whom we just don’t know (or possible we don’t remember we  know) in any case the Lord has provided merciful and expert care by very efficient and talented medical staff. We have also had encouragement – with some aspects of caution, from folks who deal with these kinds of cases every day. We respect and appreciate their training and willingness to give of their talent when needed.

At the same time we know God has his BEST will for those who are HIS children – and we are SO thankful for what God sends us in the way of help and encouragement have no complaints at all.  In fact our KIM has really been living on ‘borrowed’ time considering the depth of the cancer infection in his system.  Aside from general weakening and aging Kim is/was in relatively good health and enabled to be a serving pastor in their church in WV. Barbara and I consider ourselves blessed by the Lord in the way HE has blessed and provided for ALL our needs. We consider ourselves among the most blessed of the blessed. So we close out this day with thanksgiving and joyfulness despite the darkened outlook. God is in Heaven and all’s right with the world!

Amen… IN HIM

Jack & Barbara
