ONE NEVER KNOWS WHEN CRISIS MAY STRIKE -- Just a Minute Radio for Thursday 120705

Just as I was preparing this blog entry on Wednesday evening we got news our #2 son Kim – who lives in Beckley WV with his wife and two adopted children was struck by a car as they returned from an evening fireworks display near Beckley.

The last word we have is he is being transported via air to Charleston for a higher level of care. He has some head trauma and condition is stable possibly there will be more information during the night. We would appreciate your prayers and will provide more information as it becomes available. Thanks…

I wrote today’s JUST A MINUTE in light of this situation and trusting the Lord for the best news.

Thanks if you can pray for his treatment and recovery.

IN HIM

“JUST A MINUTE”

ONE NEVER KNOWS WHEN CRISIS MAY STRIKE

Just a Minute:  What you heard on the radio and TV yesterday was celebration of America’s 236th birthday.

I’m cheered thinking of families and those who have suffered wounds or loss of life in the wars of the middle East – or been exposed to accidents and illnesses in everyday life; I am humbled to learn from scripture that not so much as a hair from one’s head or the death of a sparrow occurs without the Lord’s notice. I am challenged by the Love of Christ for His own  . It is plain HIS care overarches those who trust in HIM daily. HIS care overflows this world and HIS concern affects both in times of war or peace.

As we travel through life’s portals and confer with HIM through prayer and the knowledge that HE cares – I am overwhelmed with the conviction, the wave of the Lord’s love sweeping over us daily and even in hearing the distant sounds of celebration and fireworks I’m assured He knows and He cares. By trusting in HIM we all can be faithfully reassured.
