ABANDONED THE SHIP OF STATE? -- Just A Minute Radio for Friday 120713

Some days and weeks seem to go on forever. Both good and bad!

This one is probably a lot BETTER than I think it is right now – but then you see I don’t see. I don’t see from the same perspective where my Heavenly Father sees. He sees the end from the beginning.

For instance this very day when I was so intent on getting the job done and finished – didn’t I go and make a computer error (I don’t even remember how or with what keys or fingers I made it with) but nonetheless I had to retype the whole thing until I got to the very end of the script when I *think* I figured out how I made a mistake that erased the script until I came back over and found it when re-typing the very last line.

Well now, what do you think that taught me?  Not a single thing! EXCEPT that I’ve still found out ways to make the same mistake twice or thrice even when I think I’m being extra careful.

In fact I do such dumb, stupid things I noticed the computer itself sending another message to a different part of the machine saying something like “there he did it again… and they think we *machines* are stupid.

Well. we don’t think that machines are stupid…. We KNOW THEY ARE!  Why… because we’re NOT machines…we have emotions and crises and we laugh and cry and all that… NONE of which the machines can do… because the machines weren’t created by God.  We were/are …  and he wants to be our loving Heavenly Father… we just get in the way and make it hard for HIM.  If you don’t think so… just read the book of Genesis… first book in the Bible ….and you’ll see how even Moses made mistakes he KNEW he shouldn’t make..  but he made ‘em anyway… and asked forgiveness and God forgave him  -- except Moses had mistaken his way out of the Promised Land… nonetheless God has reserved special joy and rejoicing for Moses when the end finally comes.  What a Blessing…. And Moses was passing 80 before he got a good grip on that.

What do you know… *I’m* passing 80 and I’m still making mistakes even as I type these lines. BUT I know one of these days the Lord will release me from making these errors… he’s already done that for some folks…Oh boy… what at day that will be when there are no more mistakes to be made. God’s going to bless us beyond all imagination. You just spend a little time thinking about it and you’ll be SHOUTIN’ (I even made a mistake typing that reward!) Praise the Lord…good things are happening all the time! And MORE TO COME!.

Got to get to bed or I won’t sleep all night!

Have a great weekend… see you (Lord willing) on Monday! Have a God worshipping week end!!!!

 “JUST A MINUTE”

ABANDONED THE SHIP OF STATE?

Just a Minute: In making this decision for a change-up – as we must realize the Chief Justice is taking a more sophisticated course. Some have observed he is playing chess; while others are playing checkers.

Writing for the majority, Chief Justice Roberts concluded, “it is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.”  Thus Chief Justice Roberts attains what the Constitution’s author, James Madison, called in Federalist # 44 “a remedy obtained from the people.

I’m no jurist; initially I would not endorse his ruling. But it appears he decided in favor of Obama Care joining his constructionist brethren,  Associate Justices, Scalia, Thomas and Alito. I believe he did that because there is a need for a call to arms, for we realize if Mr. Obama sits for a second term the full flood of “Democratic Socialism” will submerge the intent of the founders by way of ballots rather than bullets. We’ll see limited government crippled during his second term during which the President could appoint more of his choices to the bench.
