Welcome to a new and exciting week breakfast (and dinner) clubbers. We have encountered our problems of production today… but even AT&T has their problems from time to time. This is one of those days.
Last night (Sunday evening) we began to encounter problems with the computers… we don’t know what it is – but the teleco tells me it is in the line…
Which could mean anything from coast to coast I suppose…maybe some of Blackberry’s Jam got caught in the works. Obviously it really browned the reputation of RIM (Research in Motion) and eventually turned out to be a week long problem that spread across five continents best I could make out.
But mostly little people like us didn’t have huge macro failures. Nonetheless… it was disruptive enough to people who can’t LIVE it seems without texting or dingledangling with their earphones plugged into their brains… or their thumbs at the ready… You know all the stories of engineers and bus drivers texting while they go merrily weaving along the high way… well… it’s coming home to roost among the toddler set it seems.
I see the little stock traders in their cribs fussing with each other – and wonder if these are being trained to be TV stars of tomorrow.
Ah well… as old pilots NOT bold pilots know, everything goes wrong sometimes… and usually at the worst possible time… so plan for it. (J)
We tried to plan… but ended up using the equivalent of the pony express – shanks mare – to get the message through.
So.. we hope the rest of the week is NOT as adventurous and free of trouble. But I’m expecting the worst and hoping for the best during the coming political season.
The major activity that provides the MOST productivity and good results is PRAYER! I’ll certify that any day of the week.
God bless us – every one… Tiny Tim
We all have the *opportunity* to trust in the Lord with all our beings… and lean not to our own resources… but in ALL our ways to trust in HIM and HE *shall* direct our paths. Amen.
Have a great day. Cordially, IN HIM
Jack

“JUST A MINUTE”
NEW DETERMINATION IN SHORT SUPPLY
Just a Minute: New help is *possibly* on the horizon. Peggy Noonan’s WSJ week-end Journal column describes what we’re gonna need going into our national transitional period. A TSA airport official checking her luggage remarked since Steve Jobs is gone and so is Johnny Cash and Bob Hope – we now have a severe shortage of Jobs, Cash and Hope.
It’s the joke of the week I guess. I read Mortimer Zuckerman’s interview also. He’s long-time owner of U.S. News and World Report and New York Daily News and although he’s Canadian and not a Republican he expressed his admiration for President Reagan’s decisiveness and President Bush’s immediate action in getting
It’s also been reported some of the girls who were “cheerleader supporters” of the newly minted President back in January of ‘09 have now decided to switch sides. Do you think it’s possibly the beginning of a movement? … A landslide maybe? We’d better be ready.
