POST MORTEM WRAPS POTUS TUCSON SPEECH -- Just A Minute Radio -- for Friday 110114

Good Day… What a terrible time they’ve been having in Australia

Apparently they’ve had the whole season’s worth of rain in Brisbane within a weekend.  I cannot ever remember seeing such tragic waste and damage as those videos from “Downunder” seem to supply.  I just cannot fathom that much water running that fast for that long.  It’s like a dam burst.  And perhaps it did.

In any case those folks deserve our prayers for their well-being. Not only is there the physical ‘tearing up’ or tearing down kind of damage… but I … well my heart  just goes out to them.  I saw them trying to rescue animals… and it just seemed impossible.  I believe a mother carrying her baby in arms… the baby was just swept out of her grasp.  Terrible.

Anyway – I’m always seeming to have to work on these things when I’m in some kind of bind… sleep or pain or something.  Guess I’ll just have to buckle down as they used to say. (J)

It just looks like there are folks ‘lying in the weeds’ just waiting for the slightest thing they can jump on to make their case.  Trouble is I don’t think they have a case to make – it just ends up being a lot of noise of them way ahead of time trying to knock Sarah Palin out of the saddle.

Tonight I watched a ‘conversation’ with several of my non-favorite people making up a panel.  I don’t even want to go back and visit there and figure out what’s wrong. I just find the opposition sickening.  So… I guess I’ll have to get better with my blinders.  Just block them out of my vision – for the present        So – till I’m in a better humor… I’d better wrap it up and pack it in for a while.

I think it’s like being in a basketball game when the ref is missing all the calls… You know he’s missing them… and he knows he’s missing them… but there’s no Sheriff to correct the whole mess.  The frustration just grows – and that’s probably when you’d better go sit on the bench of a while… like a week or so. (J).

But it’s great to have you here… Things will get better. I know.  I’ve talked with the Lord about it…so I’ll see you all next week.  Meanwhile have a great weekend and keep warm!

            Cordially, IN HIM

                “JUST A MINUTE”

POST MORTEM WRAPS POTUS TUCSON SPEECH

Just a Minute: - January 8, 2011 is now a defining moment in the Obama Administration. Even opposition journalists counsel restraint similar to what I noted Thursday. John Fund, a lead writer for the Wall Street Journal, hails from Tucson where he has relatives. He says the deranged attempted assassination of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, has cast a somber mood in normally sunny Tucson.

The President’s speech quoted Job, the Old Testament writer: …'when I looked for light, then came darkness.'  … The shooting that began about ten AM at a street corner constituent meeting. Within a few seconds six were fatally wounded and thirteen more hit by bullets from a 9 millimeter Glock Automatic fired at point blank range by an apparently deranged constituent.

Fortunately Rep. Giffords is reported to be making a responsive and near miraculous recovery – however normal prospects for a full recovery in this situation are usually limited.  So we are soliciting prayer for her and the others, that the President’s  words may put an end to the surrounding recriminations of the Tucson tragedy.
