We’re happy to have you aboard for a new 12 month period… Looks like it’s going to be ugly and bumpy and noisy – and not much nice to say about one another… it’s already getting off to a nasty start. Just wait’ll the new folks get their ammunition and firing positions … it’ll heat right up.
It happens I’ve gotten access to some pretty good regular legislative reporting at a rate I can afford – but I don’t know for how long. Any suggestions you have to make the e-mail address is always at the bottom of the additional text I send along – and I read ‘em every one. Well… I should alter that. There are some ‘stupidos’ out there who like to plaster their ignorance around like putting up posters on a whitewashed wall. They’re as hopeless and about as effective as ill fruit flies – and they last about as long. Best action is just to ignore them.
But here we are on the threshold of a brand new year… and we should make the most of it. We have the *potential* of seeing some main changes being made *beginning* in the next two years.
One of my major shortcomings is to expect something to happen in a big hurry… when – at my age I should remember it takes a while to make a major course alteration. I genuinely believe we’ve turned a few degrees to the right… something like 63 seats or so… some may not prove seaworthy – but there are others out there who may be seeing the error of their ways and just not quick enough on the trigger. Possibly they’ll be joining us if things get worse – or better.
I kind of feel like I’m shooting these things out in a box of cotton… because I don’t get a lot of feed-back… except when I see or talk to folks in person. But you’re welcome to fill up the mailbox with your reactions to events… and if they get interesting enough to pass along… I’ll sure do it.
Anyway for the next few days we’ll try to sort out a few threads and see if there’s reaction that can be useful. And if YOU have any ideas you’d like to expose to the

OBAMACARE COMING UNRAVELED
Just a minute: - Obama care is coming unraveled before it starts. What Congress has to do – after they figure-out who’s in charge – is put Obamacare in a lifeboat. Not a single appropriations bill was passed before Congress quit. The crisis at the grass roots level, as well as every state in the
Example: 34 million Americans will be added to health insurance through Obamacare -- 18 million or so via Medicaid. Problem is O’care is just an expanded, existing entitlement program already in failure mode --
Obama signed legislation saying his bill will pay for all expanded benefits for the first three years -- and 90 percent after that. – With what? -- No provision for paying states for administrative costs adding 18 million to welfare rolls.
Right now Medicaid enrollees can’t find doctors who’ll see them because the program pays only 56 percent of what private insurers do, and that’s shrinking every day.
Plainly put – you can’t run a car without gas.
