TREASURER IS SHORT BUT SNAPPY - for JUST A MINUTE RADIO on Tuesday 120327

Sometimes a cudgel just comes flying at you out of the blue and all you can do is dodge.

That seems to be the case with the Gremlins…. They continue to hide and seek… but we musn’t let them get us in disarray. It takes mental discipline.

Today – actually Sunday night into Monday morning was what seem to frazzle my mental broom. (I don’t know where that metaphor came from.

There oughtta be a law that says it’s illegal to make men over 55 exercise the brain beyond it’s normal capacity.  Problem is I can’t *remember what my problem is*  but I suppose it’ll either die with me or come back if it’s due to do that.

I have several more projects I’m wanting to do before I shuffle off this mortal coil… (Where did that come from?  Certainly not Wm Shakespeare… Sounds more like Ellery Queen.)

Well must not idle too long… I’m getting a little better with the new keyboard…but not fully proficient with right hand pinky and ring finger…. They are the most trouble in backspacing etc. But..f’gooness sake I’m not trying to win a typing contest!

Gotta leave the band stand fellers… too much gabbing around. But I appreciate your understanding and patience. Lord willing I’ll be there at Earl ‘n’ Lester’s in the morning and perhaps things will begin to sort themselves out.

See you later…….

Cordially, IN HIM

Jack (almost lookekd like HACK a natural mistake.)

======================================“JUST A MINUTE”

TREASURER IS SHORT BUT SNAPPY

          Just a Minute: Rhode Island’s Treasurer, Mrs. Gina Raimondo is only about five feet tall – ‘tho a short Democrat she’s long on finance reform for pensions and schools.

          She’s a young mother who’s taken on the unions. They’re now hopping mad. A former venture capitalist, age 40 with two children and a petit stature as small as Gov. Christy’s is large. Both are getting results while steering their states toward fiscal health.

          “A government that doesn’t work is in no one’s interest,” says Mrs. Raimondo while crisscrossing the state pushing budget accountability. Surprisingly she gained the endorsement of major labor leaders with 62% of the vote. She’s a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford, an economist from Harvard, a lawyer from Yale -- her approval rating right at 60 percent.  Even the clerks at Home Depot notice her and offer support.

          A race for Governor isn’t out of the question.

          Keep your eye on the Mrs. Gina Raimondo the, little Treasurer from Rhode Island but making BIG strides! <> I’m Jack Buttram. (END)
