IT AIN'T OVER TILL IT'S OVER -- For Just A Minute Radio on Friday 120316

Great – you made it to the end of the week as did we. There was supposed to be a BIG rain cloud come our way yesterday – but the Town Of Walhalla got it I hear – and I saw some other big white and cloudy clouds up that way in the late PM… wonder what the weather man brought. Anyone care to phone it in?

In any case the blossoms on trees and flowers have done it again. MAGIC!…white irises have sprung up over night it seems… the Jonquils and daffodils have been chirping at us like ground canaries rigged out on wands for about 3 or 4 weeks now… the flouring tulip trees (I’ve forgotten what they’re called) – we had scads of trees of that breed in downtown Washington when we lived in Northern Virginia. Even our tulip poplars who all got haircuts late last summer seem to be ready to take on the full brunt of Spring rejoicing.

My biggest regret (as it is every Spring) is that we didn’t do enough preparing last summer… but one of these days… one of these days… we keep on saying. Meantime… it’s multi-family yard sale time – and I’m looking out to find all the stuff I’ve lost for so long. (J) It’s bound to be here somewhere. We don’t have an attic – at least not one I let anyone use because I don’t want to squish the insulation up there that’s doing such a good job winter and summer. Neither do we have a basement… (sigh… but that means no steps to go up or down.)

But we do have mulch that’s been cookin for a year all piled up and we’ve got lots of ideas… we just don’t have the $$$ to put to it… But… well.. the Lord *will*  provide in HIS good time.

Sorry to chatter on about this. It’s just that I’m about full up to here with primaries and elections etc. etc… etc… I put in my vote NOW for fixing this so we *don’t* have to string out the next and the next and the next Presidential git to it program over such a LOOOOONG TIME. Let’s get with it and do a good job and git done!

Well… enough hootin’ and a hollerin’ down the drain pipe. Let me get my “Ham station” N4ZHK back on the air in my office and my truck and renew the acquaintances on the airwaves. I’m losing my touch with Morse code that I spent some time in learning!

I hope YOU have things you enjoy like I do… reading.. flying (myself. .not just riding) WE even had a water color contest a few years back. I’d like to do that again. MUCH more fun than politics (IMO – in my opinion).

So… enough, enough the Spring air is enough to help you get up and get some exercise… DO IT!

Cordially, IN HIM

“JUST A MINUTE”

IT AIN’T OVER TILL IT’S OVER

Just a Minute: Seems like Mr. Rick Santorum is awfully quick on the trigger, doing his best to knock off or disable the current leader in the GOP primary. It’s understandable when you’ve been wandering around in the middle of the Iowa wheat fields since last summer, and several times – first in the Iowa caucuses – you found  you’d won that straw vote the day after Mr. Romney had been declared the winner… that may upset your equilibrium a bit. But there comes a time to get over it.

Mr. Santorum, who has made much of his steel town and working family background served as a congressman and a senator in Pennsylvania. He’s mature enough to know how to comport himself.  After 16 years in Washington he should  have learned what’s ‘Presidential’ and what isn’t. He continues to fire off cheap-shots at Romney and intimate he is lying. That’s not merely demeaning to himself *and* his opponent – it’s also acerbic lacking in presidential behavior. In that, he comes across as harsh.

We’ve had entirely enough of that since 2008 – we don’t need more.
