I DUNNO -- HE CRIES A LOT AND YELLS -- "CALL DADDY" -- Just A Minute Radio for 101109

            We’re here on a lovely Tuesday –

 

            And we’re pickin’ up the pieces after the election that took place a week ago.  They’re still countin’ ballots in Alaska – and quit in Washington just because one of the contestants conceded.  So – now we’re in the post election season and NewsMax in conjunction with their partners Survey/USA ran a poll of 1000 registered voters to see how they would fare if running for the White House against President Obama.

 

            First off – they seemed to take special delight in pointing out Mrs. Clinton would come in 20 percentage points ahead of Mr. Obama. But it’s hard to figure out what that means. Possibly Mrs. Obama would have come in 20 percentage points higher than Mr. Obama – which *might* create another problem. Right now we don’t need any more problems – we’ve got enough on hand.

 

            So to make it worthwhile the NewsMax team picked out a few more unauthorized candidates, and they ended up asking about 1000 registered voters – presumably scattered across America – for whom would they vote if the election was held that day.

 

            Newsmax believes they have something interesting and did the matchups with Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and Evan Byah, a retired Senator who has about $10 million stashed away wherewith he could challenge Obama – but in the straw poll he got only 41 percent to Obama’s 59 percent.  Donald Trump is in there somewhere too… NewsMax is going to dribble out the results over the next few days they say.  I say lets study crickets or ice formations… anything other than *more* politics for the present.

Just a Minute: -- Seems like we can’t get enough politics from having an election – we gotta make up some more. A couple of children belonging to newly elected office holders get arrested and on top of that news papers make up new contests and take more polls. Hey folks can’t we go back to living normally?

A Newsmax-USA Survey  ginned up between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton reported after last week’s election their poll showed Mrs. Clinton came in first  by a 20-percentage-point margin in a head-to-head pretend race for the presidency. Aren’t we covered up already with more real political information than we can use?

They ran the poll to find out how several well-known celebrities might fare if they ran against Mr. Obama for the White House. They matched up Mrs. Clinton, Sarah Palin, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Donald Trump, and Glenn Beck, and asked a thousand registered voters, and found a large majority of the respondents chose the fake candidates rather than the President. – OK… so what else is new?
