Howdy on this Monday to Everybody! Hope you had a great and good weekend – including Mother – and she didn’t have to wash the dishes! Or (?)
Seems like a crazy cloud has overtaken
The Hawaii Legislature last week betook itself to conclude some arguments the Democrat dominated legislature (only two Republicans can be located on good days) and they voted 22-3 to declare September 24th, 2009 “Islam Day.” Some wags wondered what you do on such a day? Rush about covering up all the females? Beheading people or flying airplanes into tall buildings. Shooting females in the head in the midst of a soccer game at half time?
It’s not funny – but the Legislature extended it’s session for two days in order to give itself time to override the lady GOP governor’s expected veto – which they did. Crazy! But then adding Hawaii to the lower 48 + 1 was always a sort of loopy idea to begin with many thought. Well… I think
Anyway – HI – Is, like the other 50, a sovereign state in the Federal Union – so within those bounds they can do what they want including locking up Mr. Obama’s birth certificate (or non- birth certificate as the case may be) and so we continue to try and figure out this crazy season. I’m just glad I’m in touch with the person who knows – because HE created it all!
Have a great week! And remember it’s HIS world and HE knows how to run it.
Cordially, IN HIM
Jack

“JUST A MINUTE”
IS THIS HONOLUABAD?
JUST A MINUTE – Has everyone in
Then they extended the legislative session to give themselves time to override Gov. Lingle’s veto and so they did that summarily.
The bill recognizes (quote) “the rich religious scientific, cultural and artistic contributions” (unquote) the Islamic world has made.
But the Senate’s two Republicans argued radical Islamists cheered the 2001 attacks and note other religions don’t have a special day. The lone dissenting Democrat opposed it on church-state separation grounds. They also said they didn’t want to honor a religion connected to Sept. 11 2001. Other blogging comments were:
“Idiots. Why not just proclaim Sept. 11th as Islam Day?”
Another: “So when’s Christian Day? – Oh, that might offend somebody, I guess.”
Another: “If the bill seeks to recognize the rich, scientific, cultural and artistic contributions that Islam… has made.” Boy now that is a short list.
