Hello again –
With all the campaign ads and finger pointing on the national and local political scene it’s enough to make us question the sanity of going through this every few years. As a matter of fact the folks in the current Congress were hardly sworn in back in 2007 before the campaign for November of 2008 started… It’s been a long time since the snows of

But we need to remind ourselves lots of sacrifices have been made so we can go to the polls tomorrow and do some primary voting. Don’t forgo it. Then there’s the BIG one coming up in November. GOING MY WAY?
Just A Minute – Senator Chuck Schumer gripes about President Bush going off to the Middle East while gas prices float around four bucks and more. But here are some crazy things. Seventy-one of the 97 senators who voted to stop filling the Strategic Oil Reserve also opposed drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. That doesn’t make sense.
Neither does the fact 38 Democrats, including Barack Obama, and 33 Republicans, including John McCain -- voted to keep ANWR's estimated 10.4 billion barrels of oil off the market which means Schumer and McCain and cohorts pluck about $10 bucks out of the pockets of everyone buying 20 gallons of gas.
George Will, quoting H.L. Mencken says “Democracy is the theory the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard.” New Yorkers want Schumer to be their senator so they should pipe down about gasoline prices. They and we made a predictable choice. Quit griping.
