Howdy Everybody – Middle of the week again… Some call it ‘hump’ day…
The reasoning is we’ve come half-way to the weekend – as far back as forward. That’s the hump. Like a railcar sorting yard… Well, sorta. Lots of things have been happening this week – and more to come I guess. I think my ‘forgetter’ is getting more practice than my ‘rememberer’ – (I know that’s not a great word… but I don’t know one that fits better at the moment.
I’ve made a few tentative moves toward trying to clean up my home-office, which has been a *mess* for going on three years now. It just never seems urgent enough to do something about it when I have the idea – and when it *is* urgent (as in I absolutely cannot find the book I’m looking for) I don’t have the time to waste looking for it. Rather like the old guy who never got around to fixing his roof when it was sunny because he didn’t need to do anything about it right at the moment.
We’re trying to get a system cleaned up and modernized here a little bit so you will feel more comfortable downloading audio files if you’d like. But my computer education stopped with vacuum tubes. I don’t think I would have followed Bill Gates although I do appreciate all the effort he put into it.
So, if you have an achievable suggestion you’d like to pass along that would make ‘JUST A MINUTE’ more useful, informative… or whatever to you – please pass it along by e-mail or if you can figure out how to do it via the links I’m trying to get posted… or use good old USPS… my address is 600 Confederate Circle, Taylors SC 29687… 1st class stamps cost $0.44 per these days… and you’ll never be wrong saying they ‘ll go up shortly.
Anyway – I’m not covered up with *real* mail right now (except for taxes) – and I can weed through the junque mail pretty quickly… it just clutters up the place.

WHUT’S A-HAPPENIN’ ‘ROUND HEAH NOW?
MizP: Jist A Minit – Mr. Jack -- Whut’s a-happenin’ in Warshinton now?
Jack:: It’s been doing a lot of snowing?
Homer: Ah don’t thank tha-ut’s whut MizPearl’s a askin’ ‘bout Mr. Jack.
BB: Naw… hit’s awl th’ funni noises and Mr. Bama havin’ nother press conference…
Homer: Yeah… he’s done quit havin’ them at nite… an now hit’s in the middle of th’ afternoon.
Jack: Perhaps likes daylight better.
MizP: Ah thank hit’s ‘cuz he’s worried. Thangs ain’t bin th’ same since th’ ‘lection in
Homer: You’re rite Miz Pearl… they don’t seem th’ same.
BB: Hit’s an unsettlin’ feelin’ fer shure.
Jack: We’re needing to make some changes here – that’s for sure.
Homer: What’s happening, Mr. Jack?
Jack: We’re need to make some changes on labeling our audio tracks and scripts so people can get ‘em if they wish.
MizP: Do you know how to do awl tha-ut Mr. Jack?
Jack: No I *don’t* know how to do all that… which is my problem.
BB: Whutcher gonna do about hit Mr. Jack?
Jack: We need to change some technical files so when people want a script we can find it …
Homer: Or… if’n they wants ta' heer th’ program agin…
BB: Homer an me … we thinks thangs is lookin’ mity threatnin’…
Homer: Like Billy-Bob says… awl we need is another holiday bomber with dynamite in his britches…
MizP: Oh you boys … jist you quite down ‘bout tha-ut stuff – you’ll scare th’ chirren.
BB: Oh !… sorry Miz Pearl… we don wanna do tha-ut… but Ah do hope they kin git thangs smoothed out.
Homer: Rite Beelie… just feels like we’s kinda floatin’ – thangs goin frum bad to worst…
Jack: Now boys… the main thing we need to keep in mind here… is that God is still in charge.
MisP: At’s rite Mr. Jack… an HE knows th’ end frum th’ beginnin’ –
