Hello Again…
Here we are at a Friday – and wondering just how we got here. I’m in the midst of closing down one storage facility where the scripts and audio files have been being stored for the program … and we’ve a new arrangement with WMUU-FM to make those files available to you through their website… but all the details are still in flux. So if there’s something you really would like to have copied… just write to me at the address on the bottom of the script below… and I’ll do my best to provide you with what you want or need.
I’ll be asking some questions later in the year – when I get things settled, to see if there’s a way we can be of more help in providing materials that you want, not that get sent to you. We must throw away a dumpster load of trash mail we’ve never ordered anything from or had contact with every year at our house … maybe TWO dumpster loads. Just as I sat down this evening to get this ready to put up on the blog… I ended up with 157 messages in the space of an hour and a half… that’s a waste of time and effort on everybody’s part!
No sense crying over a full mailbox… but I’m working on some way to cut down the clutter.
Meantime… aren’t those snows in Washington, NYC and points north something? I feel like we’re trapped in a perpetual motion cycle… I see some *scientists* are citing the extraordinary snowstorms as proof that global warming is actually taking place. I don’t see any way out of that kind of reasoning. If it’s snowing it’s global warming… if it’s drought conditons it’s global warming… What in the world would it take to convince those people it *isn’t* global warming? It’s the way God made the world and the Universe… and it is going to keep on happening that way as long as HE wants it to.
Reminds me of the old saying… “There are none so blind as those who *will* not see.” I guess I’ve been there too.
On the matter of getting health care reform passed the House… there are a couple of other factors I didn’t have time or space to put in the script… but there’s the matter of who is going to fill Mr. Murtha’s congressional seat? That’s a very Republican district he’s served. And according to the people I keep track of who keep track of these districts… it’s rated a toss up… so Mr. Murtha’s seat may well become a Republican vote. And there are a couple of other cases like that… so the pendulum is beginning to swing back to a more balanced position. I suppose people can stand and look at a grandfather’s clock all day and argue whether the pendulum should be on the right or left side most of the time… I guess we could use some new views on that.
