*DON'T* LET GEORGE DO IT! - Just A Minute Radio for Thursday 101202

            This is going to be a “doozy” today – because George won’t like it….

 

            I’m speaking about George Soros – who apparently wants to take over the world and everything in it – and control it probably from somewhere in Hungary.

 

            Thing is he’s gotten tied up with the Food Safety Act – which wants to control the temperature on all farms… and tell farmers what to feed their livestock – and tell the FCC what to let on the Internet or not..

 

            Just one big question mark – who gave George Soros the key to the front door of the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) which is the government agency that is charged with ‘regulating’ broadcasting… and telephone companies and now they think (because George tells them what to think) they should ‘level the playing field’ so the little guys like me can be as omni-present as the BIG guys like Rush…

 

            Well… I don’t go for that at all. And I KNOW Rush doesn’t go for it either… and since he’s the most powerful man on the planet – George I mean… not Rush… or is it Glenn that’s the most powerful man on the planet… at least when he stands on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. [Has Mr. Obama made a speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial? – I know he wanted to speak in Germany from the Brandenburg Gate… but Miz Merkle would’nt let him… I think that’s what started his downhill slide in this first two years.]  Well… we’ll see. I don’t make predictions well.

 

            Anyway… it was cold here last night… winter seems to be coming on strong. I wonder if Soros could sent a little of that hot air this way that the big chubby fellow who hates the automotive industry bloviates so well and in such great quantities. I suppose if George or ‘Whatever his name is’ – gets control of the FCC and who gets on the Internet… I’ll have to leave.  Well… I guess I’ll just have to take my chances. 

 

            This IS still the ‘land of the free and home of the brave isn’t it?’ We’ll see shortly.  They’re going to have a showdown or a shoot- out in the House of Representatives before the end of the year I hear… might be the most exciting show in town in the remainder of the year.  Brrr… pass the hot chocolate please. DON’T “LET GEORGE DO IT!”

Just a Minute: George Soros – the renegade, rich Hungarian – often on Glenn Beck’s dart board – is making his mark on another “let’s control everything in sight” fight.

The FCC – of all regulatory agencies – proposed in their February 21^st meeting, to start imposing rules concerning “net neutrality” – an issue that has already gained notoriety and raised industry’s cry of “please keep your sticky fingers off!”

The broadcaster’s agency now seeks to “protect consumers’ and innovators’ rights to dabble in the broadband Internet service … plus the “right to a level playing field.” – Translated from governmentese -- that means – “We want to tell who gets to use the Internet and who doesn’t.”  That’s currently being handled by ISP’s [Internet Service Providers]  -- who seem to be doing OK – Thank you… but that’s insufficient for people like George Soros who want  government’s fingers on everything. And we all know how good the government is at keeping secrets or exercising fiscal responsibility.

Ah well… something else to keep us awake at night. We’ll just pray about that.
