My heart still goes out to those who were terrorized and the families who suffered so much. All of these are tragic. All are reminders that there is evil in the world, and there is tragedy. All the more illustrative of the truth in Scripture that life is like a vapor… it appears but for a moment and then vanishes. However – we have a very good and trustworthy record of how God has provided for us a ‘way of escape’ that we may be able to bear it. It is clearly outlined in the 10th Chapter of the Book of Romans… verses 9 and 10… which, if followed, shows the way God has provided for eternal life – and an entire proposal God has made for complete salvation.
That’s not exactly where I intended to go with these remarks today – but it is complete and pleasing to know God is good! God is just! He is ever merciful – and for that, I’m extremely glad!
You will, or have heard, a lot about what our prospects are today. Be sure you answer the promptings of your heart. Do not let the Destroyer – Satan – convince you to put off making provision for eternity. It’s not too late now – but some day it will be. God bless you.

WHAT’S IN THE POLK?
Just A Minute – “Pig in a polk” – is the truth-in-labeling response that best describes the President’s health care address last Wednesday evening.
Does he really believe he can add 47 million uninsured to his mandated reform program without adding a dime to the deficit, raising taxes or cutting Medicare? All last Fall’s campaign I kept muttering -- “just saying it doesn’t make it so.” When he said: “There’s a few details to be worked out yet…” a ripple of laughter crossed both sides of the aisle.
Does the President think we all just fell off the turnip truck, asserting his Administration would be the most transparent in history – or every spending bill would be posted on the Web for five days before any votes are taken? He needs 30 Czars to blow away those clouds of disbelief.
Mr. President, as Christians, we are commanded to treat our leaders with respect and prayer. It’s your responsibility to earn and deserve it.
