Howdy Folks…
OK – back to the farm. We started yesterday talking about Michelle Obama’s 20 plus year old Senior Thesis in which she had some rather gloomy and agonizing predictions. We conclude all that today quoting for the second day from her Senior thesis written at
Obviously, given that we mature over ten or twenty years, we might expect a viewpoint change. But although this thesis has received widespread individual it seems to have escaped the attention of the Main Stream Media (MSM). Mrs. Obama has apparently not been questioned about it the first time – at least I could not find a report if she has been. Possibly she simply wants to avoid giving it any further circulation.
Her views, might not be totally unexpected, but this expression of them does seem to be on the extreme left. It might be helpful to those on the fence about whether or not to vote for her husband if she clarified what she has in mind expressing her intention twenty some years ago to ‘ work as hard as she can’ to elevate black interests over white interests in today’s America. As the Snopes folks say… it’s somewhat ominous.
Well… I leave it to you to discover on your search through the Internet for any clarifying information. As I said yesterday… if this had been a story written about the racial views of say Cindy McCain or even Laura Bush – my guess is it would have attracted a LOT more media attention. If it were discovered Sarah Palin had put such words on paper – I guarantee it would be on the front page of all the broad (now somewhat narrower) sheet papers. I judge the silence from the Democrat side not to be entirely evenhanded – but I also do not want to be unfair to Mrs. Obama. I will be glad to put forth whatever she desires to say.

Just A Minute – Yesterday, I began a two-part comment on Michelle Obama’s undergraduate thesis written at Princeton University 23 years ago. It was originally restricted by the school until Nov. 5th – but because it was leaked on the Internet they lifted the ban and it got thousands of people requesting copies
Quoting only from the posting made at Snopes.com – a fact-checking web site – here is Mrs. Obama’s conclusion written more than two decades ago – her poll of black alumni concludes other black students At Princeton don’t share her obsession with blackness but is horrified black alumni identify more with America’s common heritage than the color of their skin she says: (quote) “I hoped … black Princeton alumni … would still maintain a certain level of identification with the black community. However, these [poll] findings do not support this possibility.” (unquote)
… Most black alumni ignored her questionnaire. Only 89 students responded out of the 400 to whom it was mailed. Looking at Obama supporters Michelle seems to see black and white people forever in conflict.
