THE LULL IS NOT FOR SLEEPING -- BUT CALMING -- Just A Minute Radio for Friday 120203

Sometimes – typing after midnight … things get left out or obscured or mysteriously twisted…

None of that is happening today on this watch.  We just think it makes good sense to pause and reflect on what’s going on.

This is a little bit of Q&A time… although it isn’t.  We don’t ask you the questions – we give you some of the answers that I have come across and which seem abstract as well as concrete enough to be a source of being brought back to earth.  The dreamy violins and other sleepy time music sort of carry us away sometime… but this is different.

From time to time we think that our brainy crew who come to cheer us on when the grass gets deep and the waters run high – well they need a break. So this is just a one minute break from the strain of the day to getting some easy answers you might find come in handy from time to time.

So… with best wishes for a quiet and calm moment or two we drop upon you softly some observations that have come our way and bode well to calm one down if we don’t get pretzel fever to answer the questions. All you have to do here is listen and find yourself far more absorbed and informed on the matter of too much shooting going on in this world. You’ll see what I mean if you just hang around for the next minute or so. We’ll supply the answers and give you something simple and restful to think on.

Cordially, IN HIM

“JUST A MINUTE”

THE LULL IS NOT FOR SLEEPING – BUT CALMING

Just a Minute: Now’s a good time to take a deep breath and lean back. The world will keep on turning even without you pedaling as hard as you can. Now it’s time to move on just taking a minute to slow down and improve your temperament. For instance:

I’m learning the great challenge in life is to decide what’s important and quit paying attention to everything else. – Age 51

Getting fired can be the best thing that can happen to you. – Age 42

Just when I’m getting my room the way I like it, Mom says to clean it up. Age – 13

I found out there’s almost no quality product that sells on the cheap. – Age 52

Don’t compare yourself to the best others can do – work on the best you can do. –age 68

You should never be too busy to say “please” or “thank you.” – Age 36

Finally – you can’t be a hero unless you take chances. – Age 43

Now those ought to hold you over the weekend. I’ll see you Monday. <> I’m Jack Buttram.       (END)
