How—deeee! As Miz Minnie-pearl used to greet everyone ---
Strange things are a-happening on the political scene. Looks like we’ve been in it up to our wader tops for too long a time. Everybody’s going to be tired of this mid-term race even before we get started..
I’ve heard some people in favor of term limits – because they see what’s going on now – wish for say a seven year term for the President and something in the way of corrals that would improve behavior in the House and Senate. But think about it… if we had a seven year Presidential term now… (Oh I don’t even want to practice thinking about it!)
Well, folks you can tell the natives are getting restless when the griping about the political season starts before the last one ended. I used to live in
But I think there’s more of a feeling for change in the wind now… just hoping we can catch it in time before too much damage to the structure of the political landscape gets critical. Having worked in other states where they elect judges by popular vote – and stuff like that… I don’t know that we want to *greatly * increase the number of times we go to the polls. It’s hard enough to get a clean result now… much less with competition from ourselves.
Well … It’s something to mull over – except I do mullin’ over better in the cold of winter rather than the business of spring and summer… but we’ll take whatever we get I suppose. Elections are kinda like the weather… sometimes you just can’t help getting’ dumped on – that’s why they have ‘flash flood watches.’
Look forward to being with you Wednesday.

Why the interest in an old motivational speaker? A Wall St. Journal headline pegged President Obama the national “Smart Aleck in Chief.” A Dan Henniger audio track said within the past month or so, Obama bad-mouthed Mitch McConnell, John Boehner (BAY- ner), Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Bankers, Mine Operators, Glenn Beck, Tea Party-ites and the Supreme Court. Henniger said it’s Mr. Obama just mobilizing his base.
Mobilizing is an odd way to describe it since most poll numbers put The President’s approval ratings down in the low 40’s -- but Dan went on to say it follows Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals – which is DEFINE, DEMONIZE AND MOCK --- what Barack Obama taught ACORN followers in Community Agitator classes in Chicago.
Since it caught my eye –I thought you’d want to know about it.
