Jack: Just a Minute – Billy-Bob have you heard the Democrats are hiding their position on gun control?
BB: No…
Homer: You mean since Charleton Heston died they gonna change their vote?
Jack: Not exactly , Homer -- it’s about gun rules in national parks.
MizP: I don’t think there otta be guns in the parks
BB: Jist a minit, Miz P… we don’t need no argummit rite now.
Jack: That’s what Senator Harry Reid says.
MizP: Whut did he say?
Jack: The Senate takes up the public lands bill this week and Majority Leader Harry Reid told Sen. Tom Coburn amendments could be offered. But when he foun’ out one would cut gun restrictions in national parks, Mr. Reid changed his tune.
Homer: That don’t sound rite.
BB: Sumbody’s tryin’ ta hide th’ ball.
Homer: Jist a minit -- las year they was more’n half th’ Senators of both parties wrote Interior Dee part mint asting ‘em to lift ‘at no-guns rule in th’ parks. He knows both Barak an Hillirary gits an “F” frum the NRA so they don’t wanna vote agin hit.
MizP: You mean he don’t want no vote on hit?
BB: Why they’d be scared to death..
Homer: I’ll say so – a voting on thay-ut wood teah ‘em up fo shoah – an up in Pensylvannie – an Mitchigan . Ah know them deer hunters at the Bait Shop an Sushi Bar won’t stan fer hit.
Jack: Uh…mebby we better just leave it as Harry Reid’s problem – I’m Jack Buttram.
