Just a Minute: Perhaps I’m just getting older, but the noise erupting from the TV rockets between my ears and I’m wondering if the world will come upright again after the current election. Did we have an inkling this would happen when Mr. Obama declared his run for the Presidency?

Recent experience shows we definitely can use refresher lessons in courtesy with one another. We urgently need to realize our Constitution protects free speech, but does not condone offensive manners or forsaking respect. Our recent irritation with one another calls to mind a bit of Rudyard Kipling poetry…“The tumult and the shouting dies - The Captains and the Kings depart - Still stands thine ancient sacrifice, An humble and a contrite heart.”
